Ciarra “Ci Ci” Coleman Covin (whatever the heck her name is by the time you read this) is a maternal and family wellness human services practitioner dedicated to advocating for the autonomy of women living with HIV & their families as they navigate the lives they envision for themselves. She began writing this blog, Healing Is Voluntary, in 2018 after living ten long years with HIV and no community. Through her unique writing and vulnerable storytelling, Ci Ci has curated a safe space for individuals to connect, share experiences, and find solace in the knowledge that they are not alone. Her community-driven approach encourages dialogue, support, and empowerment, fostering a sense of belonging for those who have felt isolated or marginalized.
